OVERVIEW: We saw this tiny French Fashion and could not resist her. She has a perfect bisque head with swivel neck and painted eyes. Except for her skirt and hat, everything else appears to be original and I do not think she has ever been undressed. She is unmarked, but likely by Gaultier. Here are the details:
HEAD: She has a perfect bisque head, with a swivel neck on a bisque shoulderplate. She has a rub in front of one ear. I do not see any markings.
BODY: Her original body is cloth with leather arms. She is stuffed very firmly and stands very upright. There is a small unstitched spot on one wrist.
CLOTHES: Her wig, unders, stockings, shoes, bodice and shawl all appear to be original. I do not believe she has ever been undressed. She wears a nice three-piece set of matching unders and her shawl is made of the same gauzy fabric. She has good knit stockings and black leather slip-on shoes. Her bodice is black taffeta. I do believe the black taffeta skirt is replaced, and likely her fanciful hat as well. Everything is in very good aged condition.
